Planning Monitoring Evaluation & Research Unit
PMER unit is one of key support unit of RCDS, because we believe without planning
in any kind of program, we cannot achieve the desired result without proper monitoring
and then evaluation. PMER unit seek to generate the updated data of all integrated
program, in the RCDS PMER unit serve as reporting unit, this unit generate the all
MPRs, QPRs, baseline study reports, field surveys. In addition this unit responsible
of the IEC material compilation and their dissemination to relevant stakeholders.
In the reporting period this unit conducts the field surveys, regarding the emergency
response and rehabilitation in Layyah beside this various assignments are completed
with the support of the donors and supports organizations. In addition to baseline
and surveys this unit also monitors the program activities as per Logical Framework
Analysis and contributes a lot for the improvement in the program future activities.
This unit also plays an important role in the identification of major gaps and capacity
building needs of the staff and community during the monitoring. PMER unit is also
part of internal redress mechanism. This unit also facilitates the organization
regarding the planning and its execution.
Based on the program output, performance, reporting and process, monitoring templates
(social mobilization, microcredit and infrastructure, human resource development
and social sector services) have been designed in consultation with all other sections
along with description of information flows and reporting authorities. Reporting
frequencies and data points have been concurrently decided. Data repositories have
been determined and complementary databases/software have been developed (MIS CPIs,
MIS microcredit, finance and HR) to create a supra-structure for information analysis
and two-way feedback. Planning, monitoring and reporting templates for gender disaggregated
data have also been institutionalized. The staff has been familiarized with templates
usage, and information analysis for periodic planning and course correction. The
more common and frequent reports generated include statistical updates, quarterly
progress reports (quantitative/ qualitative), annual figurative reports, and annual
narrative report.
