RCDS signed Agreement with Punjab Skills’ Development Fund (PSDF) in April, 2017 for “Women Training on Home Based Livestock 2017” for district Layyah. The project aims at equipping the rural women with the full knowledge for home based livestock rearing, managing, timely vaccination and artificial insemination to get better optimal results. RCDS has to provide one thousand (1,000) women training in this project. Besides this RCDS would provide (through PSDF) 1,500 rupees monthly stipend to the successful trainees. The organization has leveraged the PSDF project with RCDS’ ongoing project of Prime Minister Interest Free Loan Program (PMIFL). It is because, about 70% loans are around agriculture and livestock. So far as 240 women have completed their training and RCDS is going to give them 30,000 interest free loan (As per Project guidelines/conditions) for livestock so that they may contribute to the economic need of their families and uplift their life style and standard. Initially twelve classes started from Layyah, Chowk Azam & Choubara Branches. As mentioned above, the project is for the whole district Layyah but initially it has been initiated in PMIFL Union Councils i.e. Aulakh Thal Kalan, Choubara, Kotla Haji Shah & Shadu Khan. In coming months the classes would be started in the rest of the PMIFL UCs.
