RCDS started education program with the financial & technical support of SAP-PK through the establishment of non-formal schools in 1998; RCDS established 5 non formal Schools under project. After one and half years the initiation of the project, the number of schools were raised to 11 on self-help basis. Moreover In the year 2002, the status of these non-formal schools out these 16 schools 5 schools registered themselves with education department as community model schools
Another project for education sector was implemented by RCDS with the support of the Trust for Voluntary Organizations (TVO). Under this project titled 'Community Development through Education and Training', the RCDS established 15 more non-formal schools in different locations of districts Nankana Sahib & Sheikhupura. The initiatives of education program create the synergy with the other integrated interventions of the RCDS, the number of beneficiary children including of girls' students 2356. Up to the reporting period, the total enrolment has been 3,946 students out of which 2,212 are girl students. A total of 2,625 students have so far completed their primary education.
A Computer Literacy Centre has been established in 2007 Mandi Faizabad to educate the new generations with Information Technology. Since the establishment of the centre, the total number of students reached 590 including 238 female students. All the students completed different courses of the basic computer education. Moreover, a skill centre has been established in 2010 to equip the rural women and widows with skill-based training. The objective behind this initiative is to ensure the women's participation in such with learning and earning concept. A total of 435 females completed their diplomas courses in the dress designing and embroidery.
