Rural Community Development Society (RCDS) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) in Pakistan, legally registered in 1998 under the Societies Act 1860. RCDS began its journey in 1995 from Mandi Faizabad, a small town in District Nankana Sahib, with the vision of Socio-economic empowerment of society where all citizens avail their potential for the societal benefits on equal basis. RCDS has evolved into a leading development organization, reaching vulnerable and ultra-poor households with impactful programs and innovative approaches that respond to their social and economic needs. Rooted in values of transparency, accountability, adaptability, and partnership, RCDS works hand-in-hand with communities, development partners, and government institutions to build resilience, promote empowerment, and create sustainable change.
Today, RCDS has expanded its presence to 24 districts of Punjab and has directly served more than 900,000 underprivileged households. With every step, RCDS remains committed to enabling individuals and communities to unlock their potential and contribute to a just, equitable, and prosperous society.

Objectives
- Strengthening local institutions and governance structures to promote effective decision-making and community participation
- Enhancing access to social services, including healthcare, education, and social welfare programs, to ensure the well-being of vulnerable populations
- Promoting sustainable agricultural practices, improving food production, and ensuring access to nutritious food for improved livelihoods and food security
- Empowering individuals through skills training, entrepreneurship support, and livelihood opportunities to enhance economic resilience and reduce poverty
- Implementing initiatives to improve water supply, sanitation facilities, and hygiene practices, ensuring better health outcomes and environmental sustainability
- Strengthening community resilience to natural disasters through risk reduction strategies, early warning systems, and disaster preparedness measure
- Providing immediate assistance, including livelihood support and cash-based transfers, to vulnerable communities during emergencies and humanitarian crises
